The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and the Managing Director of Eko Electricity Distribution Plc, Oladele Amoda are expected to be the lead speakers at this year’s edition of Distinguished Electrical and Electronics Engineer Annual Lecture (DEEEAL 2016).
The lecture organised by The Nigerian Institution of Electrical and Electronics Engineers will take place at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016.
A statement by Secretary, Planning Committee, Adekunle Makinde stated that while Babatunde Fashola would be Keynote Speaker at the occasion, Engr. Amoda would be the Distinguished Lecturer for the day.
Fashola would be speaking on the topic “Power Distribution Demand Side Management in Developing Economies”.
The occasion would be chaired by the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Otis Anyaeji.
According to him, the theme for this year’s lecture is expected to address a major but often neglected area of electricity network management in the country, adding that the lecture would also serve as a catalyst for in-depth awareness on power demand management and energy conservation in the country.
